  • Just when you think Canmore couldn’t get any busier, Alberta wants to try something like this: A new rail network. The Alberta government has proposed a plan to build a rail network that would include a speedy train connecting Edmonton, Calgary, Jasper, and Canmore. It could break ground as early as 2027.

  • If you really want to get away from the crowds, especially in a place like Banff National Park, you might want to stay at a cabin that is only accessible by hiking, skiing, snowshoeing or biking.
