Things to Do in Canada 210
Made in Canada
Good morning!
Did you know? Although we started the Must Do Canada website in 2013, our YouTube channel and 150-day road trip across Canada in 2017 were inspired by the first Trump presidency, which caused Canadians to unite for various reasons.
Well, here we are again. This time, it’s an economic war, but just like last time, all it’s doing is causing Canadians to unite, buy more Canadian products, and be more proud of our beautiful country than ever before. Even this speech from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau seemed to rally both sides of the political spectrum. While we certainly have problems (who doesn’t?), you don’t have to look hard to see what a special country it is.
So, for the 210th edition of the Weekly Goose, we’re resharing our 2017 video about what makes Canada special, showcasing websites that promote Canadian products, and more!
PS: To our American readers, don’t worry. You’re always welcome here!

Without a doubt, if you’ve ever been interested in taking a vacation within Canada rather than away, this is the year to do it. As always, we’ll be sharing lots of Canadian travel ideas in the coming months, but you can always visit our website and find a travel guide for one of the provinces, territories, cities, or towns. If we don’t have a travel guide for the destination you’re interested in, please hit reply and let us know!
As awesome as travel is within Canada, there’s much more to supporting Canada than just tourism. While we’re still working on the best ways to feature Canadian companies, here is a website showcasing Canadian-made products. For those wanting to shop for Canadian-made groceries, there is also this Grocery Store Guide.

Watch
As some of you know, our YouTube channel started in 2017 when we travelled across the country for 150 days to ask Canadians why they think Canada is such a special place. Below is one of the videos we made for Canada Day. As Canadians unite, I think it’s important to give it a watch once again. Please leave us a comment and let us know what you think!

Although it’s a far cry from our 2nd place ranking back in 2014, Canada is still tied for 7th in Henley’s annual passport index, which ranks national passports by the number of countries they grant access to without a visa. Canadian passport holders can visit 188 out of 227 listed places without a visa. The USA sits in 9th.
If you’re a runner, you’ll want to add Canada’s newest 100-miler to your bucket list.
Last summer when we visited Toronto, we took the bus and had a great experience with our driver. But it certainly doesn’t compare to this Toronto bus driver going viral with transit-themed remixes of songs. If we visit Toronto in the near future, we certainly hope we get on his bus!

Canadians love exploring the world and it’s no secret that many places have sketchy areas. Here are some of the latest travel advisories for popular vacation spots.
Forget “Make America Great Again”. The business behind the Canada Not For Sale hats is so popular that it’s struggling to meet demand.

Just for Fun
Canada’s first Inuit-language TV channel, Uvagut TV, was added to basic cable packages last week, giving Canadians the chance to watch Inuit-language TV. Launched in 2021, Uvagut TV is one of the first solely Indigenous-language networks in the world.
