Last-Minute Fall Trips
Good morning!
Did you know? Canada is famous for its fall colours, so much so that Statistics from the Canadian Tourism Commission indicate that fall foliage attracts around 10 million visitors, contributing approximately $1 billion to the economy during peak season, with a projected growth rate of 3% per year.
Somehow, we’re not surprised. It’s a wonderful time to see the country. Although it depends on where you go, fall foliage usually peaks around mid-October, which means there’s still time for some last-minute trips.
In the 245th edition of the Weekly Goose, we’ll share some great places to see the fall colours around Vancouver, Montreal, Toronto, Banff, and Saskatchewan!
Happy Travels!

We also want to spotlight FlightHub’s Fare Alerts feature, for all of us trying to save money on travel.
It’s an incredibly useful tool for travellers looking to save money, especially those who are planning ahead for fall or holiday travel but waiting for a good deal.
How it works:
When you search for a specific route on FlightHub but don’t love the current prices, you can subscribe to a Fare Alert right from the search results page (top left-hand corner).
Once prices drop for that route, you’ll receive an instant email notification giving you the best chance to book at the lowest fare.
It’s a simple, free way for you to monitor fares passively and strike when the timing is right.

Watch
While the Eastern side of Canada is known for the best fall colours, the Rocky Mountains can be quite the sight as well. This is one fall hike near Banff that you’ll want to add to your bucket list.

We’re not cruise ship people, but this ultra-luxury cruise that goes from the North Pole to the South Pole might change our minds.
It’s a Canadian’s worst nightmare. Americans travelling abroad are starting to ‘flag-jack’ Canadians so they get treated better.
