Wondering what some of the ski resorts in Canada are like?

Check out these two videos we made, which showcase the three ski resorts in Banff National Park and Marmot Basin in Jasper.

Travel Guides

As much as we love skiing, there are lots of other things to do when you visit these destinations in the winter.

  • Want to plan the ultimate ski vacation in Canada? Check out the Mountain Collective’s “Order of the True North” and get 12 days of uninterrupted shredding across 6 destinations by flying into Kelowna and flying out of Calgary.

  • If you’re planning to visit Alberta in the coming weeks, you may want to check in and see if there are fires in the area. Alberta’s unusually warm and dry spring has created ideal conditions for fires to break out with some towns being evacuated just days ago.

  • Despite the warm temperatures Alberta has seen over the last couple of weeks, Banff Sunshine is still open for spring skiing, all the way until May 22nd when they host their annual Slush Cup event.

  • Outside of truly unique accommodation options, we have no idea why anyone would book an Airbnb over a hotel these days. With outrageous cleaning fees and rules, combined with the fact that it’s ruining some cities, it really has changed since the days of offering a private room in someone’s house. However, it looks like they’re trying to bring that back now, mostly due to the lower costs.

  • As many of you probably know, our head of state, King Charles had his whopping $100,000,000 coronation last week. While it was a bit of a tourist attraction in the UK, it wasn’t much of an event here in Canada where support for the monarchy is at historic lows.

  • Sushi by Scratch Restaurants, which just opened a location in Montreal, is offering its staff a starting salary of $80,000 per year. Wow. We’re assuming this means no tips, which is something refreshing in the restaurant industry.

  • If you’re into (or even sort of into) sports: The GIST is a must-subscribe newsletter that provides a refreshing female voice and perspective on sports 4x a week. If ‘do the thing and score the points’ is your baseline understanding of sports, you might enjoy this to uplevel your knowledge!
