Travel news in Canada.

  • We’ve travelled all over the world and although shocking, it doesn’t really surprise us that the Canadian government has issued a US travel advisory that warns of the growing risk of mass shootings.

  • Speaking of being shocked, we’re very surprised that Vancouver’s Wreck Beach is not on this list of the best nude beaches in the world. However, Canada did make the cut thanks to the Toronto Islands.

  • Speaking of listicles, these are supposedly the best botanical gardens in the world. We’re pretty sure some amazing Canadian gardens got overlooked, but one didn’t - The Montreal Botanical Gardens.

  • Wait, another listicle? You got it! We love exploring the world as much as we love exploring Canada, so if budget is no issue, here are 15 amazing not-budget-friendly eco hotels from around the world. If you want to stay in Canada, Newfoundland’s Fogo Island Inn made the list as well.

  • We’re quite used to forest fires in Alberta and BC but now Nova Scotia is also home to an out-of-control wildfire. It’s now the largest in the province’s history and is still burning out of control. If you happen to be travelling to Nova Scotia, you may want to change your plans depending on where you’re going. On the bright side, Canada is a world leader in wildfire management, so let’s hope it ends soon.

  • Move over Montreal and Vancouver - Calgary is getting much more bike-friendly. Calgarians will now have a chance to make their daily commute easier and test e-bikes at two major CTrain stations. Riders will have access to a total of 60 e-bikes and will be able to ride free for the first 10 minutes of their journey once every day.
